Class 10 Board Exam Preparation Tips: A Simple Plan to Score High

Class 10 board exams are the first big exam in a student's life. The good news: with a clear plan and regular practice, every student can improve their score. Here is the simple plan our faculty at Envision Academy, Laxmi Nagar share with students every year.

1. Make NCERT your base

Most board questions are based directly on NCERT textbooks. Read every chapter carefully, solve all in-text and exercise questions, and do not skip examples. For Science and Social Science, underline key definitions and keywords — examiners look for them.

2. Follow a weekly timetable

  • Study every subject at least twice a week so nothing is forgotten.
  • Keep difficult subjects (often Maths and Science) in your fresh morning hours.
  • Keep one day for revision and one test every week.

3. Practise sample papers and previous-year papers

Once a chapter is complete, attempt questions from previous-year papers. In the last two months, solve full sample papers in 3 hours to build speed and reduce exam fear.

4. Write neat, step-by-step answers

In Maths, show every step. In theory subjects, write in points, use headings and draw labelled diagrams wherever possible. Good presentation helps you get full marks.

Consistency beats cramming. Two focused hours every day are better than ten hours one day before the exam.

5. Clear your doubts quickly

Never carry a doubt for long. Note it down and ask your teacher the next day. At Envision Academy, students get regular doubt-solving sessions with experienced faculty for each subject.

6. Take care of your health

Sleep 7–8 hours, eat on time and take short breaks. A fresh mind remembers more.
